David Tinto is a freelance film and television art department memeber and production designer based in London.

David began his career in design in the field of architecture. Following completion of a bachelor in Architecture at the Glasgow School of Art and a Masters of Architecture at the University of Edinburgh, David went on to work with a number of architectural and design practices across the UK and in the USA. In 2014, David was the recipient of the RSA Medal for Architecture.

David’s other areas of creative exploration extends into that of fine art and has exhibited his work in venues including The Royal Scottish Academy, The Glasgow Art Club and The CCA.

It was while making his own short films at the New York Film Academy that David’s love for the moving image was cemented and his move into specialising in Production Design. David graduated with a Masters in Production Design from the National Film & Television School in 2018 where he worked across a wide variety of projects including short fiction films, animation, television entertainment and commercials. While at the NFTS David was the recipient of a Creative Scotland Scholarship and the Dewar Arts Award.
